Dayton grew up with a casual interest in the goings-on of the IAWF, but his interest became especially held when he was 23, at which point he noticed the league finally had a wrestler from his home country. This led to him familiarizing himself more with all the other members and in turn keeping a closer eye on IAWF-related things. More than anything, of course, he found himself becoming rather attached to that one particular snake that first caught his attention, the masked villain Rampage. One could even say he started developing a crush on the big boa! At 29, he decided to join himself, feeling he could do pretty well and wanting to perhaps get closer to his favourite. Sure enough, he got his wish backstage before his debut match, meeting Wardell Battersby, the man behind the Rampage mask. The two were immediately attracted to each other, and although they tried to hide it, Dayton's inflating throat gave away his excitement. Wardell wished Dayton the best of luck in his upcoming match, giving him exactly the confidence boost he needed to give a great performance, winning the match and wowing the audience. Most importantly, of course, Wardell was extremely impressed, and to Dayton's immense delight, he asked Dayton out and offered to establish a staged rivalry with him. One year later, the two play enemies in the ring while being the happiest of couples outside it!
