There are bright days ahead of us and storms can only wet our fur. The air is cool the the rivers are quick. Even the gloomy raven is only putting on a show for sympathy. If you talked to him nicely he might even compliment you.

The curiously bipedal seal is Erik R. Blackwell, otherwise known as "me." I'm a bit of a wanderer and a dabbler, perhaps too much so! But my knowledge and interests are broad. I love humans as much as I love the natural world, but both are frighteningly easy to manipulate. Control and coercion frighten me. I prefer the guidance and careful nudging in all things. The path of least resistance is one through which I have blazed a clear trail.

The raven is somehow much better known despite his snarky attitude (or perhaps because of it). Few know him by his true name, but rather his most common title, Kirkrapine (the church robber). He's a rather selfish and spite sort, but there's a beauty to him if you look in the right way. He's my opposite in almost every way... Maybe that's why our lives are stuck together like magnets.
