Sora's Holiday Party
The first commission of my current batch done for once again my good buddy
RobinPhox and he asked for a simple holiday party with Sora and a few others. I think it turned out quite adorable to say the least!
The night was cold, snowy, and had a chilling breeze to it. Sora was just whistling away as she clung to her jacket through the forest, trampling over the trees like blades of grass. Robin had called her over for something that evening for a surprise and she was just too excited for a surprise to not pass up the idea.
“Wonder why he asked me to come out so late?” Sora shivered as a chill ran down her spine, “Winter, plus night time doesn’t mix too well.”
She was currently on her way to his little cabin in the woods. She was so wrapped up in her thoughts that she failed to notice that very structure towering before her.
“It’d better be something go-” she began before she accidentally subbed her toe on one of the steps, “Ouch!”
She jumped on one leg for a bit as she backed up from the cabin, destroying a few more trees in the process before examining Robin's surprisingly big abode. It was big enough to be her home if she wanted to move in.
“Since when did he decide to upgrade his place with a spell or three?” she asked herself as the pain in her foot died out with the help of the snow below, “Probably part of his big surprise.”
She trotted up the steps as she caught glimpses of the inside through the foggy windows. An array of lights of varying colors were inside and muffled chuckles could be heard from within.
“How many people are even in there?” she wondered as she reached for the door, “Sounds like Robin’s throwing a party or something!”
She knocked on the door and waited a moment before Robin in his signature Delphox form answered the door, smiling brightly at Sora’s arrival with the light of a fire shimmering behind him like a small sun.
“Ah Sora!” Robin smiled as he gestured to her to come in, “Come inside my dear, you look like you’re freezing!” “Thanks,” Sora smiled as she stepped inside.
The second she got inside, her body was completely submerged in a sea of warmth. The fireplace was blazing in the back, a Christmas tree adorned with all sorts of decorations stood by the door, a few presents lying beneath it, and a table lined with all sorts of sweets.
“O-Oh wow!” she stammered in awe as she glanced all around, “You got all of this set up?!” “You know it,” Robin chuckled as he closed the door, “I wanted to throw a little holiday party in your honor.”
As he closed the door, few familiar faces came strolling down the hall, once again all her size. Kajex, Yuki, and Dimitri all accounted for in the group, all her size currently as well much like everything else.
“Oh hey Sora!” Kajex said with a light chuckle. “Gl-Glad you could make it,” Dimitri stammered as he looked at her. “Wouldn’t have been the same otherwise,” Yuki chuckled “Heya everyone!” Sora smiled as she gave his head a ruffle.
Robin simply smirked as he snatched a cookie off of the table and took a bite out of it.
“Seems like someone’s already having a little fun,” Robin smirked as Yuki gave a light chuckle. “I can’t help it!” Sora exclaimed, “I love hanging out with you all!”
Dimitri blushed a bit at Sora’s words, glancing at her as Yuki noticed the little Absol grow flustered. She knew his little secret all too well, but it was oblivious to Sora.
“Th-That means a lot,” he mumbled to himself as Yuki loomed over him a bit with a bit of a grin on her face. “Somebody’s mumbling all cutely again,” Yuki giggled as Dimitri jumped, falling onto his rear in the aftermath.
Everyone merely chuckled at the flustered Dimitri, awkwardly rubbing his rear to help mitigate the pain. The extra attention directed his way only made him even more flustered.
“Get off your butt silly!” Sora smiled as she helped Dimitri off of the floor, “Th-Thanks,” he blushed as she pulled him up.
Dimitri awkwardly slinked off into a corner as he tried using his shirt to hide his blush, but failing miserably at that of course.
“You sure got the fun ones to come over,” Sora smiled at Robin as her tail rapidly swayed. “Why thank you,” Robin smiled back as he tossed a cookie at her, “I invited them all over just before I used a liiiiittle growth spell on the place.”
Sora caught the cookie in her mouth and began to nibble on it. She could tell instantly who brought them over.
“Kajex contributed with some special cookies from his stash didn’t he?” Sora asked with a light smirk. “By my request of course,” Robin replied, “I wanted this party to be a bit extra special.”
Sora nomfed on another cookie as Yuki teased Kajex a bit in the background before he awkwardly joined Dimitri in trying to hide his blush alongside him in vain.
“Besides the fact that I could just waltz in like it’s my own house for once?” Sora asked curiously as she nibbled on another cookie, “That’s already pretty special to me!”
Robin gave a light chuckle as Yuki tried to yank the two dorks in the corner out of their shells, grabbing them by the collars of their coats and simply chuckling at them with her signature, teasy stare.
“Quite a bit more than that,” Robin remarked as Yuki set the two down by the fireplace.
Kajex and Dimitri now just awkwardly stood there and fidgeted with their hands as Sora took a seat on the sofa, letting out a sigh of relief to finally hop off of her paws after that chilly walk.
“Now you two had better ease up,” Yuki giggled as she took some sweets from the table, “We’re here to have a little holiday fun.” “Y-Yeah I know,” they stammered in unison.
Robin took a seat beside her with a smile, glancing at all the presents just sitting under that tree, knowing exactly what was lying inside them all.
“What’re you looking at?” Sora asked in a confused tone. ”Just all of those gifts just waiting for you down there,” he smirked as he looked back at her.
It took a second for her to realize what he said, but when it did, her heart began to race as her cheeks were dyed a deep red at the very idea.
“W-W-Wait they’re ALL for me?!” she stammered as her brain continued to process the information. “Guess I let the big surprise slip,” Robin snickered, “Yes they are.”
Sora was trying to avoid just breaking out into tackle hugs and whatnot all over Robin and he could see it written all over her face.
“Eeeeee!” she squealed as her tail nub began to wag so fast it was creating gusts of wind behind her. “But just wait a biiiiit longer to open them,” Robin chuckled as he glanced at the others, “The night is still young after all.”
Sora took a deep breath to calm herself down, knowing that what Robin said was true. She hadn’t been there for long yet either.
“I’ll tryyyy to contain myself,” Sora said with a light blush. “Thank you my dear Sora,” Robin smiled as he saw Kajex and Dimitri slink off into another room.
The night then began to press on and on. Everyone laughed at each other being either cute or dorky with one another and plowing through all the sweets they had on display. Minutes turned into hours before they even knew it and Kajex got the brunt of that experience when he went to crack open a window.
“Seems to be a bit warm in here,” the lucario said as he began to open a window, “Let’s air a little heat out real qui-”
He was quickly cut off when a RUSH of cold air and snow nearly froze his face solid instantly, quickly shutting the window before slowly and awkwardly turning around towards the others.
“Okay scratch that idea,” he shivered as he awkwardly hobbled towards the fireplace.
Yuki petted his head, only to confirm that it was already ice cold to the touch.
“It must be later than we thought,” Yuki remarked as a little snow melted off of his glasses, “If he’s already a statue."
Robin realized the time at long last with that remark, realizing that it was impossibly chilly for anyone to head home at that time. However it was the perfect time to let Sora finally open her gifts.
“I’d say the time is just right now Sora,” Robin smiled as Sora’s face began to glow up with excitement again.
Yuki gave Kajex a light pet before she went down the hall to get some blankets to help him warm up a bit faster.
“Go ahead and get started while I help the little lucario warm up,” she smiled as Dimitri took a seat beside Kajex. “Just don’t be too long!” Sora exclaimed as she yanked all of the presents under the tree towards her, “I wanna tackle hug you too!”
Yuki simply giggled as Robin gave the fire a little more fuel before sitting beside Sora again, holding one of the many presents towards her.
“Just be a little slower with the opening and she’ll be back by the end,” Robin smiled as Sora began tearing into the wrapping paper. “No promises on that when I get excited!” Sora exclaimed as she got into the present.
She tore through present after present even as Yuki returned to give the shivering pup hugs and snuggles. She received gifts like extra clothes, jewelry, and whatnot. All of those from Kajex, Yuki, and Dimitri, but she saved Robin’s gift for last, knowing that it was gonna be an extra special gift.
“Hurry up and open it before those two pass out,” Robin chuckled as Yuki squeezed Kajex and Dimitri like plush dolls. “I know!” Sora exclaimed in a giddy tone, “I’m just building up the suspense!”
Sora tore through the wrapping paper bit by bit, slowly uncovering a little snow globe inside of it, but something about it felt… special.
“Oooooo!” Sora said in awe as the lights inside reflected off her eyes, “It’s so pretty! Like an actual city!” “What if I told you it was an actual city?” Robin said with his signature smirk.
Sora’s heart was soaring at the very true remark. She could see teeny tiny people inside go about their evening and that made it even better.
“Seems like someone is in love,” Yuki giggled as Sora remained mesmerized by the display in her hands. “C-City in a snow globe?!” Kajex stammered as he tried to get a look at it. “I wanna be there…” Dimitri mumbled to himself.
After a few more minutes of gawking, Sora gently set down the snow globe on the table before turning towards Robin, taking a deep breath.
“Now for the fun part,” Sora said as she stood up. “What’s that?” Robin asked as Sora stood up.
With no warning or hesitation, Sora tackled Robin into a seat and gave him a biiiig hug, making everyone else giggle as she nuzzled his cheek.
“THANK YOU THANK YOU THAAAANK YOU!!!!” Sora exclaimed as she continued to nuzzle. “Y-You’re welcome my dear Sora,” Robin chuckled as he lay trapped against her, “Y-You can let go… if you want.”
Sora refused to let go, treating Robin like her teddy bear as everyone else went to get some blankets from in front of the fireplace.
“Let’s just close up shop for the night,” Kajex awkwardly chuckled as Sora’s grip on Robin grew tighter. “G-Good idea,” Dimitri followed up as he took a blanket.
And so, the night dragged on as Sora refused to let go of Robin, thankful for the little party and gifts that he had everyone bring for her. She hadn’t had a holiday like that in far too long…
