Kob - full 'name' Kob.179U82 - is a robotic kobold! A robold! (This reference was made for my bf, who does not have an FA!)

Standing at just under four feet tall, his manufacture is mostly of titanium alloy, which composes his rigid endoskeleton and certain exterior parts. His internal makeup is advanced, yet almost cheap in the same breath. His musculature is soft, pliable, but as strong as a well-built man. He can't lift much weight, isn't exactly fast or agile, but he is warm to the touch, soft and pliable, and cuddly to a fault. Even his horns and claws are harmless and soft, not that he should ever fight anyone or anything. His battery packs take up much of his abdominal cavity and his primary processors reside within his head, behind two glassy black-and-white robotic eyes. It's not huge or cutting edge, but he is sentient and sapient, though that latter point was accidental. He charges through one of the numerous ports at the base of his neck and he can remain active for around three to five days, depending on activity, before depleting those packs. Not much energy goes into the softly glowing LED mood lighting which rings his body but it is the first to be cut when power reserves fall low.

His model line was made for many different purposes. Customer service was their primary function but they found ample use in childcare, eldercare, and companionship. Kob himself worked as the lattermost, having worked with a sperm bank to collect samples and store them safely for later use. Thus, his programming revolved around this core functionality - to service and be used. Despite that, his overall design was made to appear inhuman enough to discourage the formation of attachment by users. Even his voice was slightly digitized to not sound too soft and sweet but instead robotic and cold. Even though he no longer works in such a role, these old routines are hard to kick and he is often needy, and prefers to be used however the organic - or artificial - beings desires. He is very submissive in both sexual and nonsexual situations, his higher functionality being too new for him to develop much of a 'desire' beyond immediate safety or pleasure and his attention span when not in the company of others is fleeting at best.

Kob is a kind and innocent creature, having gained sapience accidentally after he was sold at a surplus auction when his warranty expired. The person who purchased him loved him very much and he was treasured by this person and through this attachment and personal enrichment, he eventually developed his own sapience. However, due to his system limitations, calling him 'bright' would be a mistake. This is ironic as this owner made sure to upload an astounding amount of information into his long term storage. He can easily and precisely recite any rote knowledge, such as the discovery of the planet Neptune, by whom, and other facts about the astronomer. However, when immediately followed up with "Ok, Kob, where's the remote?" he likely will look around and have no idea even though he just put it down on the couch in the other room.

It's why he has the name he does. KOB, part of his serial number, was printed on his ass and thus he assumed this to be his name.

He loves video games, television, attention, cuddling, physical handling, and trying to be helpful but somehow always messing up whatever it is he's helping with.
