Owl nazis and owl hitler fighting owl knights of the round table via THIS IS SPARTA!!
No really, that's the movie "Legend of the Guardians". Aren't children's books fun source material for family friendly films?
Feel free to use however. Just be sure to always say OWL HOLOCAUST whenever referring to that movie. It's catchier :D

It's a joke, mate. I'm not altogether why you're being so dismissive about something meant to be laughed at, unless I am misreading your commentary. I'm not even being critical, they were fun books and the movie looks damn gorgeous at the least. But I can look back now and affectionately laugh and go "yeah, that was a little on the nose" and still enjoy it.
Well, this is the first time I've heard even a lick about the movie besides the trailer I saw on TV.
Every good vs evil story gets interpreted as nazis this and germans that and it gets to a point of "Just the fuck up already", you know? I don't know how close it is or not, it's just frustrating as all shit that people see nazis everywhere in everything.

It was very much the owl holocaust. I mean...the group was called The Pure ones who thought all other species besides Barn Owls shouldn't exist (Ie: Unpure.). And killed them. Also brainwashed their young with propaganda.
And there's St. Aggie's. Owls were sent to live in pits, assigned numbers and brain washed to do work for a few owls in charge. Oddly they have no connection with the pure ones.
It's meant to be like the nazi regime.

Indoctrinating the young via brainwashing, the Pure Ones, a charismatic leader campaigning for the oppression and annexation of adjacent kingdoms, within which he places those of the favored race in charge and eliminates or subjugates the "lesser" races. A Mengdele like figure in the Tyroc's wife? Yeah, pretty strong Third Reich allegory there. Does the allegory persist throughout the series? Not so much, but it's pretty strong within the first few books at least.
