Back to the basics I think would make people think twice about these "wars" we've been having... Because our men and women are safer, it's also easier for the higher ups to send them out to wreak havoc on the world. Rommel saw blood firsthand and witnessed true battle, these pieces of shit that are sending our military out to the sand get to sleep quietly knowing it's mostly "done with machines now" not realizing exactly what they're doing. It's become so displaced that few realize just how messy and painful it is. If they got back in the mud a bit they might command a higher respect and learn.

True enough, that's what happens when an invading force has no real army to fight. You get angry civilians and militants ready to fight and die to drive out the invaders. If our army were stripped away but left their weapons behind and an invading force landed on our shores... You damn well better believe everyone that even thinks they know how to use a gun or bomb will kill. Anarchy is the word and destruction is the mission. They are an offended people with no leader killing an organized death machine... Simple as that, we like to think ourselves the heroes but history shows we were no better than the Nazis and I don't mean just the ones following orders like Rommel. War has never been the same and never will be unfortunately, it used to shape history, it now just shapes careers and wallets...

Yup, even went so far as to recommend that Hitler stand before a tribunal and be judged for his crimes where his family was threatened should he stand trial or die with his honor intact by poisoning himself... Terrible way for a hero to go. He never supported the assassination plots but he did feel that he should answer for the grievances done against the people that were murdered. Even in his African campaign he refused to punish the people that Hitler had ordered persecuted, instead treating them as prisoners of war should be treated. He was one of the few that had no crimes to be held accountable for, he was a soldier instead of the monster that Hitler wanted. People somehow seem to forget that he was not the only one, instead that every single German wearing any German military uniform was automatically a Nazi AND evil.

Whoever that man was, he was wise indeed. Because he is truly correct, I do not know what happened with us but I would suffice to say that our culture is just fucked enough that it would not be a far stretch to throw us all into war. We would not have to be captured and coerced to fight like many people have across the globe, the pawn shops and weapons lockers would be raided by every hand that could hold a gun. We are a nation that for the most part are bred to fight, every aspect of our life and entertainment has been focused on it. Where most countries shy away from violence, we glorify it. To be honest I wouldn't have it any other way though. I am one of the ones ready to fight.
