Okay MAYBE I just wanted to draw Amethyst punching someone...
I have absolutely been Dew in this scene and I can't quite describe the fear and confusion, it's not the same as in a crazy emergency or something.
There's a whole different level to it; fear about social implications, fear of what this person may or may not do, shame for not trusting them but a strong instinct that you shouldn't trust them.
Dew made the right call in the end trying to just get out, even if it didn't work. At least, it broke down his facade.
