SpongeBob is to blame for a lot of things related to Nickelodeon's decay, but Invader Zim's cancellation wasn't one of them.

Some theories are that:

1. The show was very expensive to make and the ratings didn't cover it

2. Constant schedule changes

3. The show was too dark for younger audiences (honestly they could've just moved it to MTV or Nick@Nite)
