I present to you a setting creature called "Dimithreya"! The blood hunter.
Dimithreyas is a large four-pointed eptyphire from the order Domeoders (creatures resembling bipedal dinosaurs.), the family of "Apanderis", which are distinguished by well-developed forelimbs with long claws on them.
Dimithreya is an omnivorous creature that lives mainly in dry zones of subtropical forests, not too far away from favorite water sources. Despite being omnivorous, the brains are well developed, and this eptyphire prefers hunting much more than gathering or grazing, which makes this beast quite dangerous for everyone who is smaller than it.
Individuals reach a length of about 9-11 meters, live in well-knit pairs of two heterosexual monogamous individuals, are most often active at night, walk holding the body almost vertically, often hanging the front paws almost to the ground. They live up to 65 years in nature. Pets can live for more than 120 Dioneyian years.
Dimithreya's diet includes almost everything. Starting with roots and grass, and ending with fresh carcasses of animals. The choice is high, as is the variety of different cultures and animals that the creature can find both in the wild and in the home environment. The most favorite are berries and bulbous trees. And of the animals they prefer to catch those who are only slightly smaller than themselves. For example, Alions (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/37048049/). The main reason for such hunting preferences is that Dimithreya are very fond of drinking the blood of their victims, and devouring their guts and eyes, often ignoring the rest of the carcass. For this reason, there are almost always a lot of small predators hanging around next to a couple of Dimithreyas, who are ready to appropriate half-eaten carcasses torn by the toothed beaks of giants with great pleasure. It is very dangerous for intelligent people to be near wild creatures of this species. At least for the reason that they can become a good dessert, even if not for the Dimithreyas themselves, who will happily swallow, for example, a person, then for their small toothy cavalry, which collects the remains behind them.
The Dimithreya hunting method is divided into 4 conditional types. Day, night, steam, and "mocking". During the day, Dimithreya will wait for lonely animals in the thickets and wander around very quietly, trying to look where to put his paws in order to create less noise. At night, on the contrary, they are quite fast and deliberately not careful in order to intimidate their victims. Most often, at night they drive herbivores to cliffs or high fences of reasonable ones. Almost every inhabitant of these climatic zones has a story about how their small cattle are torn into two halves by two creatures feeding each other. Paired hunts are most often arranged by two individuals, at any time of the day. The principle is simple - One drives, and the second intercepts. There is also hunting, during which the Dimithreya play with their still living prey, pushing it, kicking it, crushing it with their paws, or throwing it into the sky. Sometimes, after that, they don't even eat it. As a rule, this is done only by young Dimithreya individuals who have not yet learned to appreciate the slightest grains of food, and so far, thanks to their parents, they do not know what hunger is and how exhausting hunting can be.
But not only hunting is relevant for this species. It takes a lot of time to find a place for yourself under the light of Nei. There can be a lot of herbivores in the area. Often they can even run under your feet. But the problem is that the territories rich in life are needed by everyone. Like other Dimithreyas, as well as many hunters of other species. Them often have to fight for rich places to eat.
And then the armor on the body, sharp spikes, and long sharp claws come to the rescue.
The best tactic for such a creature is to butt your head or sideways, and only then beat the enemy with your paw. As a rule, it's pretty stupid to start with a swing in battle, since most wyverns can predict this and cling to her to death. And other Dimithreyas, who are more experienced, generally prefer to knock the enemy down with their weight first, and only then strike. A blow from a huge paw with claws of similar length can leave terrible scars on the body, and even in some cases tear muscles and tendons. In intraspecific fights, it usually does not come to this, but interspecific couples can be extremely cruel.
However, as a rule, No creature in its right mind will interfere with a couple of Dimithreyas who have decided to hunt and live in a particular place.
One Dimithreya can bring a lot of losses to one farm. They like to steal plants, and pets. As a rule, the electric fence helps well against such encroachments, but sometimes the audacity begins to surpass any levels when they come to farms in whole broods, completely ignoring the reasonable ones, or playing catch-up with them and their eptyphires.
In the appearance of an adult Dimithreya there is one feature - a luminescent color. Most often, bright drawings resembling circles or eyes sparkle in the dark, causing fear to anyone who notices them. Also, a bright color is part of self-promotion for representatives of the opposite sex.
Dimithreyas are most often black, gray, brown and golden-red, while their bright color is most often red, red, yellow or in more rare cases purple.
At first glance, Dimithreya eptyphire is useless and unmanageable. But in fact, this is not the case. This creature can be quite accustomed to full herbivore, giving meat only as a vitamin component. As a result, you will have a huge hand-held eptyphire monster on your side, which, unlike the same Drakes, is much easier to navigate through dense forests. And the rider's view from the back of such a monster is much higher.
How to tame? Easy. Just steal the chick from the nest. Dimithreyas are viviparous, and they will raise 2-3 cubs at a time. Stealing them will be a difficult test. Yes, and illegal. However, if the hunting season is open and you are determined, you can try your luck to steal one.
For the first week, a wild but still tame chick will yell and call for parents. And and and they'll be looking for him. And it takes almost a month to search, since it takes more than 10 years to grow chicks, and it is very difficult to lose them for this type of eptyphire, since they rarely reproduce.
The task of the future rider, if possible, is to take the chick away from the parents' territory as far as possible in order to continue education, similar to how it is done with 90% of large sucklings under the saddle.

Annimora: - Wow. I would not like to meet such a monster.
Astiy: - Really? If you don't know, then the Ferocialum is located just in the zones of their habitat. It's just that the local pets pushed them a little further away from here. Approximately in the direction of the villages.
Annimora: - That is, the wild ones still live nearby?
Astiy: - yes. And there are quite a lot of them. We just don't track them often because of their low aggressiveness.

This creature was originally made as a concept for the game. But she was not needed. The common basis for the creature was a therizinosaurus with a bird's head. The big-eyed pattern was an element of a hint of something vampiric, which would cause the feeling that "it is watching you", and the very description of this creature explains this. At least that's how I imagined it in the process of work. Ahh, I was also inspired by the character Alcina Dimitrescu, which partially formed the basis of the idea and name.
