G1 Transformers Collection
If you're Transformers fan, at some point you've had to have learned about the original G1 Transformers, and if you're a BIG Transformers fan, you'd have to have had one of the original toys from G1. I obtained 3 of them in the time I've become a Transformers fan. While they aren't all from G1, they still have the same designs as those original toys, that's the basic rule for me with a G1 toy or reissue. Now to tell you about each of the ones I have.
Smokescreen: My first G1 Transformer. I obtained him from
RamboJoe446 a long while back. He is missing both shoulder launchers along with the missiles for each of them and a good portion of his stickers, all of which I hope to someday get around to replacing. This is also a reissue toy from the "commemorative" series, so not a G1 toy. Nevertheless I love this figure and hope to complete him one day.
Brawn: My second G1 Transformer. Also obtained from
Rambojoe446. Left arm was broken when he arrived. I first tried to reattach it using a twist-tie. When that failed I decided to glue the arm to the inside of the door so he could still transform. He can't have the door wing look on his left arm, but he never did have door wings in the cartoon, so I'm alright with it. When I play with him, I leave his right arm inside the door. Someday I would like to get a second Brawn with both arms intact. I'm not sure which version of this figure I have. He is an authentic figure since he has "Takara, Japan" on the back of his jeep mode, but no dates.
Swindle: My third and most recent G1 Transformer. I found him by a donation bin near my house among a pile of other toys. He's seen better days, all of his stickers except for his rub symbol are in rough shape, He's also missing both his guns. The only G1 Decepticon I have and the only G1 combiner component I have.
And that's all the ones I have for now, But I do plan to get some more in the future.
