Righto, took me a while to get back to your shout, but in answer to your question...

It's not something that I see every day. FA is full of a bunch of "pretty pictures," but this has a darker allure to it. It is, quite obviously, not a creature that I've encountered before; I am reminded of a deer due to the antlers, a saber-tooth tiger because of the teeth, some sort of reptile (gecko?) because of the tail, and the hands scream Freddy Krueger. It is a very unlikely, interesting mix.

Aside from the parts of the creature, there is the drawing itself. I can see it moving. Sinuous, like a snake. Attacking, defending, maybe just dancing. But it is in motion, as opposed to much of the static art around here.

So, in summary: unique, exciting, and dark.

I never really thought about what would shine through in this strange mixture, just that I liked the overall design. Back when I made this sketch I had something with making weird creatures "dance", while still having this dark undertone. I'm trying to get back to that again since I really enjoyed doing it.
