This was the leftover of an installation project we had to do for our animation class Junior year (the goal of the assignment was to make an animation and show it in some way that was not the traditional projecting on a screen method).
I made a cat-themed animation and made a cat head out of a box. The cat head was built to go over a computer screen (on which this animation was being shown). The cat head and computer were placed on the floor and speakers were next to it, which projected what sounded like awkwardly terrifying cat meows (they weren't actually cat meows, but my friends and I making meowing noises and then me playing with it in Audacity). The idea was the person was to lay on the floor and stick their head into the cat head in order to view animation (which in turn made them look like they had a giant cat head on their own head).
Apparently with the combination of the animation, the noise, and the enclosed viewing space, the viewing experience became hard to watch for some people. One girl was viewing the animation for a few seconds before pulling her head out and mentioning how the animation creeped her out.
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect with this project, but the end effect was interesting.

... And scary.
BUT INTERESTING.
I really like the idea you had for the animation and the project, awesome idea! :3
Thanks. It was pretty fun, even though I'm normally that into installations.
This looks like something that would be posted on /x/ :D
Lol awesome. Although, this would probably one of the least creepy things posted on /x/.
And i dunno, here lately, /x/ gets occasional creepy gems, but it's mainly just /b/2
Furry-o-vision. No wonder some normal people were creeped out.
That would be so head-ache inducing painful to see in that shade of red all the time.
