A very good character sculpture.

Summer/tropical hats with that wide a brim have been in fashion at times. Lots of coy posing behind the brim.

Lovely work there. I wish I was inspired enough to do more sculpting but I guess it comes with getting older. From my experience with taking pics of sculptures, a cloudy day works a lot better than direct sun. Another easy and quite effective method is using some black felt and an Ott Light inside. Ott lights are fluorescent light bulbs that have the full color spectrum and are really great for close up shots.
