Dave's new front hooves hit the muddy floor of the pig pen. His feet cramp and twist as they change, tearing apart his shoes. Dave feels horribly ashamed, knowing he is turning with Cora seeing everything. But the Cora calls to him, and instead of fear or disgust, Dave sees peace and warm smile on her face.
