TJ and Sam were visiting Grandma Weaselton in the run-up to the holiday season. The tree was already up and the TJ, Sam, and the cousins were decorating it, the boys' grandmother didn't really like Christmas trees--they were a lot of work, and dropped messy needles everywhere, but her grandchildren were important to her, and a tree made them happy.

Sam was recounting the saga of their own tree, and how TJ climbed it in order to get the star placed on top of it. Grandma giggled and said that she wished she could see that. The cousins were horrified, but not surprised. They all thought TJ was a bit impulsive. While everyone was listening to tales of his antics, TJ snuck the star out of the box, and carefully climbed the tree. After placing the star at the top, he jumped down, landing on his butt with a soft womp and a crinkle.

The whole family turned around and saw that the star was placed perfectly, and that only one or two ornaments were knocked off after this climb. TJ was lightly scolded for climbing the tree like that, but as Grandma Weaselton said, "No harm, no foul."

All the boys were treated to cookies and eggnog while they finished the tree.
