Fun fact. Just about any item could work as eyes for dolls. They don't need them, but having them there improves perception.
Dolls can feel the intention of every part. If you placed stones in the face of a doll to act as eyes they will be eyes.
It's good to remember that just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.
