Born on the same day as Spyro's hatching, Izarugi has been a playmate to the purple dragon as long as she can remember. And it wasn't long until one day when Gnasty Gnorc used a magic spell to transform the dragon elders into crystal statues, prompting Spyro and Izarugi, along with fellow clutchmates Toruzo and Astria, to journey across the Dragon Kingdom to free the elders and put a screeching halt to Gnasty's antics.
In the end, while Spyro will be the one to defeat Gnasty and would go on many adventures with his dragonfly friend Sparx across Avalar and the Forgotten Realms, Izarugi, Toruzo and Astria would travel to Animaltopia, where they were recruited by Kinshra to form Team Star Rush.
