Sarla's a young woman in her late twenties, and a teacher at a local elementary school. The world she lives in is sort of steampunk Victorian, and includes magic; despite its elected officials, the district she lives in is actually run by a Mages' Council. She has very strong opinions, and might be in danger of angering the wrong people.
Sarla is the main character of a work in progress called Exiles' Oasis, based on scattered notes and a few scenes I jotted down during Megaplex earlier this year.
