Mirelurk was my first thought, nice sketch!
I just finished my daily challenge sketch of my "Mad Scientist" character holding the shattered remains of an Erlnmyer flask saying "...And That is a classic example of a Runaway Exothermic Reaction!" with the smoldering blast mark of an explosion in the counter top.
