...So my funny nd brain connected some dots regarding Phi/lip from Li/brar/y of Rui/na and Dr. Hofnarr/Tricky the Clown (Major Li/brar/y of Rui/na spoilers in the description)



-Both appear around the turning point for more intense plot in their origin series
-Both are associated with fire in some form
-Both turn into “monsters” in some way
-Both start out against the main villains in their origin series, only to end up joining them after getting corrupted
-While in their corrupted forms, they end up basically cutting off all ties to their former selves, and have both most likely forgotten their past selves entirely
-Both have a strong refusal to die (”you cannot kill clown, clown kills you” and phi/lip’s constant running)
-Both have some connection to clowns
-Both loose their glasses in their corrupted forms. How do they see.
