i have no context beyond those few words -- this simply wouldn't leave my head until i drew it. i was given a VERY clear picture in my head and it stayed until right now. a few days, i took breaks when i was stressed about unrelated things - but like Jonah being sent to Nineveh, i would always gravitate back to this. i have tons of unfinished drawings that go back YEARS, but this was different.
