I’ll make a more detailed reference showing the pharyngeal jaws, stunted wings on back, and flying view once I get the time, just wanted to get something quick done.
The parasite is peaceful and usually leaves the pterosaur to its own devices, serving to help it survive after sustaining what would have been fatal injuries from a fight with a theropod. However, it has a mind of its own and is more likely to take control than others of its species, sometimes causing it and the pterosaur to fight for control of the body. This can lead to erratic, and sometimes violent, behavior.
Originally it was going to be inspired by Quetzalcoatl, the species namesake, but that seemed too on the nose and like it’s been done before. So I decided to take some inspiration from Xolotl in terms of colors, the Aztec god of “ twins, monsters, misfortune, sickness, and deformities”, which I thought was quite fitting for this character.
