Lawn Bubble Mishap

I walk along the soft forest trail as my eyes watch the leaves fall around me. I hear the soft sound of animals running through the bushes, birds flying overhead. The rustling of the leaves sends a nice chill down my spine as the unusually green forest seems to be flourishing in the middle of Autumn. Sometimes it's just nice to get away from technology and walk through nature...

"Pesky spam emails!"

I swipe across my phone screen, sorting through my emails the best that I know how. My orange paw swipes through email after email, the screen protector made specifically for webbed hands like my own. My gray jacket sits perfectly along my back, protecting me from the chilly winds that constantly blow through the area. My webbed feet crunch lightly against the grass, the chill air blowing against my legs completely stopped by the stretchy material of my sweat pants. The trees sway overhead as my face is buried into my phone, too distracted to notice anything out of the ordinary.

I continue down the forest trail for a good while just staring at my phone, completely dense to the outside world around me. I feel the slight breeze blowing against the back of my head, sending a chill down my spine as I tug my loose jacket closer to me. This has been a rather nice stroll through the woods. The animals have been running around, the nice rustling of the trees and the sun shining through them lighting up the path. And I got through so many emai-!

Before I know what's happening my webbed foot gets caught up in a root! I feel myself get suspended in the air as my short body looks for anything to grasp onto! I flail my arms around to get any sort of purchase, even though I knew it was all for naught. I feel the air blow past my body as I fall forward, flinging my arms out to cushion my fa-

Faaallllll into a white marshmallow?

My momentum is immediately stopped as my body hits against the side of this white expanse, finding my fall completely stopped as I sink into the soft expanse of white! My body is completely surrounded by warmth as I smush into the soft material. My body bounces lightly against the soft expanse, coming to a halt as I finally settle against the jiggly surface!

I lie against the white cloud, sinking lightly into it as the mere thought of having to leave the comfortable expanse becomes nothing more than an afterthought. The expanse is soft as a cloud as I run my webbed paws along its surface, involuntarily letting out a heavy croak as I settle against the fluffy expanse. What I didn't expect was for the white fluff to move! I pick up my head as a pair of... ears picks up above the small hill. It isn't long before a canine muzzle picks up above the heavy expanse, a happy smile covering his maw! I see his arms pick out from in the grass, most of his body covered in a small layer of grass that perfectly camouflages himself! It is only now that I notice that the small hill that I'm pressed against is actually the plushy form of his belly! I let out a small croak as I stare into this supposed husky's teal eyes, the golden pair of glasses adorning the top of his snout! I see his tail kick to life as his tail seems to... smile at me.

"Well, hello to you too!"

The soft voice of the husky speaks up at me as his small glasses stand out against the rest of the colors on his body. I just let out a soft chuckle, feeling my body heat up from even just looking at the fluffy canine! Even at this small chance meeting... I can tell we're going to be great friends!
