Sometimes, life makes you feel like you're surrounded by idiots. Any attempt to deal with them just yields a situation where they somehow make their IQ magically decline through the power of logical fallacies; Red Herrings, Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc, Strawman, False Equivocation and Ad hominem to name the most popular.
It should be labeled a fake superpower. They think that as long as they have opinions AND put down the other side, that they will win EVERY argument. It doesn't matter how wrong they are; even if told repeatedly. The few times they admit they're wrong is when they would deeply, and instantly regret not doing so, not when it matters the most. Or when they're told "you always think you're right", because being a contrarian is one of their favorite hobbies.
People who abuse opinions are the reason why some places welcome oppressing free speech.
It's ironic that virtue signalers can sometimes be the ones lacking real virtue.
