I Apologize


Without you I know I’ll wither and die.
I said, ‘The distance was a problem’ but it was an unthought lie
I could only go an hour without you before I break down and cry.
Even though a blue ocean separates us, please give me another try

Through my life I’ve never met someone like you,
You make me happy through the simplist things you do.

I know how stupid it was to end it all,
Without you, it is death into which I’ll fall.

I need you now more then ever,
Because it is you in which I’ll always be tethered

People around me can’t understand what I feel,
And I know without you I will never heal.

I don’t deserve to have you,
But without you I can’t discern a simple hue.

The color was drained from me today,
Because I realize no one can love me your way.
