Hello everyone! I'm here with a new artwork! In this one, for the very first time, my two cute OCs, Goldigony and Sparkly Emerald are together in the same space, well prepared for a day in the beach hehe. I really didn't think too much about this drawing because this is going to be my artwork to participate in the Derpibooru's collab for this year. Participating the last year was one of the most amazing things I have done as an artist (I'm sorry if you think I'm exaggerating, I just say what I feel).
This year it has been a lot easier because, of course, Sparkly and Goldi were already created. I had already an established design for both and I only had to draw them properly for their group photo. While I was making the drawing, I felt pretty much like a mother wanting that their sons look perfect for the school photo. I really love them and my biggest wish with this drawing was that they looked as cute as possible for the group photo.
You may think that this drawing was quiet simple, and of course, it was easier than other of my artworks where I need references for different postures and more stuff, but at the same time I had to take care of every single detail of their appearance. I had to keep the proportions between them, the distance, the proper line width, the proper transparency, the proper glow. It was really important to me to keep all those details in order.

I have decided to get to those works of art you have done more sooner than later as they make me happy.

I am certain that I will be needing to go through a lot of submissions to get familiar with Sparkly. Goldigony is a dragon that I have really come to love since you created her last year. The stories you made for Goldigony with Spike are very cute. It is going to be very enjoyable finding any Goldigony adventures I have missed while keeping watch for new content.

I look forward to getting to better know Sparkly. Is she a reformed changeling? Perhaps she is a changeling that has not yet reformed for one reason, or another? I also could see her as being like Thorax in Season 6 as being a changeling who has long felt out of place in Chrysalis' hive and has sought refuge and friendship within Equestria?
If you do not mind me elaborating on the last idea, I could see Goldigony and Spike discovering Sparkly while playing in the playground that is a part of 'Magic Kindergarten'. Goldigony, being more confident than Spike, would be curious of the changeling and would make sure she did not get away before having a chance to talk with the two dragons.
In this concept, which would take place before Season 1, it could be seen that this encounter with Sparkly would result in her joining Spike and Goldigony in 'Magic Kindergarten'. Princess Celestia would take time to make friends with the shapeshifting creature while our dragon friends help her 'feel love' without having to do what other changelings back at Chrysalis' Hive have to do. This would give our dragon friends an opportunity to talk to a creature who, like them, is 'different'. They would find a common bond in being accepted by the ponies.
For fun, I would use this idea to better explain the Season 2 finale of Chrysalis attacking Canterlot. The show does not tell us how, where, or why there is a threat on canterlot. Perhaps it is Sparkly who tips off Shining Armor and the princesses?

I haven't thought too deep in his backstory, but the main idea is that he decided to leave the hive to explore new horizons and he went to Equestria to explore them. Instead of going to the Friendship school, he decided to assist to a Magic School on Canterlot as a foreign student. I haven't thought so much deeper into this, but here is mainly how the story goes.
