A trepid moment would pass as Kimber had glowered at his compatriot. It may be true that he always pulled that fated card, the same held true for Vale"...It may always be the Tower that I draw for myself, likewise, however... You.." The Sand Cat had paused his card readings for a moment, shrugging off his overcoat and placing it gently on the grass after folding it thrice before returning to his position of cards, shuffling them and gesturing for Vale to grab one of his own.
"See? This is why magick and myth are always so interesting" Kimber would start. "You've drawn the moon again, haven't you? Why, it's almost as if Professor Scarborough meant to tell us something when he allowed me to have these as a gift of good faith in the arcane."
Vale would sigh, eyeing over the card of a similarly shaped canid of some sort howling at a moon with an open eye. "Perhaps you're right, but I think you look far too much into these things, Kimber. Why don't we go back to town for now, have some dinner, then return to the academy?" With the card tilted to the side, he'd place it back into Kimber's possession and watch the feline.
The Sand cat sat in thought for a moment, eventually reaching for his journal and pen. "Sure, sure. Just let me sketch some of todays findings first."
