oooh very nice start! If its a deep space exploration craft though, you should think about torpedo launchers. Kinetic guns are good, but only if they have sufficient power behind each round, while a torpedo is self propelled, making it better for offense moments. Plus in a pinch, you can strip torpedoes fuel cells as a tiny emergency reserve for the ship, which is always good to have on a ship meant for exploration
