I came across some kind of large flying insect that seemed to be lounging on their own odd 'floating abdominal sphere' - which is mighty convenient! If it weren't for the fact that my ship keys were inside of it, quickly bubbling away... I've been told this creature is named 'Fizzlie'; it was brought back by one of our explorers a few days ago and clearly shows signs of intelligence, as it doesn't seem to be in any hurry to give them back!
It keeps looking at me like a queen on a throne of glowing acid, made worse by the consumption of battery acid meant for industrial battery stations - which only hastens the dissolution of my ship's access. It's not even a meeba situation this time, as I can't just grab them out quickly. I've been told that trying to retrieve them would result in an unfathomably strong electric jolt, or a really tiny slap to the face - both of which I don't want to experience!
As cheeky as they seem, I still don't even know if it is on purpose; the creature doesn't speak in any translatable tongue, has no idea how our galactic customs work, and they seem very lady-like. I'm not one to be rude to a woman, yet alone a whole new insectoid species! I guess my ship keys are theirs for the taking... I can always write up a report and get a new set.
It is strange however... If they drink through such a miniscule proboscis of sorts, how did my keys get in there in the first place?
