Third in my series of (3) Jason Steele animation covers.
I impressed myself with this one, even though I think it's the least accurate voice-wise. I usually can't sing at all, so this recording just being bad singing as opposed to terribly singing is a real step up for me.
Other than that, it was the most edited as well. Had to re-record brown ferrets lines at the start. I submitted it here but then realised it wasn't really close enough to his voice. I do like my Harold though :p

i kinda agree with Anteros, but it sounds like you're running out of breath in select parts, other than that you are doing great. I have family members who are voice actors and a big thing i see from them is when they start losing breath the emotion or the voice of the character starts to waiver a bit just because your lungs cant feed air fast enough through your voicebox. Keep up the good work!
Ah, thanks a lot. Sorry I didn't reply before now but I didn't see your comment.
It's cool that you have voice actor family members! It's something I'd love to get into when I'm older. Do you happen to know any tricks of the trade? Also, if you get the chance and don't mind, could you ask them a question for me? When they're doing voices that are very different to their own (if they do) and listen back to the recording, can they tell it's their own voice? It really bugs me when I can hear myself in my recordings (as in, when I can tell it's me doing the voice) and I want to know if it's something even professionals get, or if it's something that goes away with practice.
If you don't get the chance to ask them that's fine but I'd really appreciate it!

i just asked them and they told me this: It really doesn't matter what voice you will do, you will always hear bit and pieces of your own voice, usually mimicking another voice actor's voice is not often easy because your larynx (voice box) is not made the same way and that is what make your voice acting stand out, you can see that with many impressionists and singers as well where their mimic work is almost dead on but it isn't 100%. An exercise you could do is actually browse around here on FA and do free Voice commissions of characters of all arrays of size shape and build and that would make as my family member says, "stretch your voice" to make your voice have the ability to adapt to mimic characters' range of voice
Ah, thank you very much! I really appreciate that advice, and even though I don't have the time to do it now it's certainly something I'll bear in mind in the future. I was considering something of this sort but I kinda gave up because my Uni course is a lot demanding than I was expecting. It's nice to hear a similar suggestion from someone with more experience. Much appreciated ^_^
