Porn isnt as bad as you make it out to be, but it can be really shallow. You just fill it out with richer stuff inbetween. I've noticed many artists wanna be a step higher the they are at least on how they feel about it. The highest paid comic artist might still feel like an amatur cause he isn't creating "art" thats hanging up in a gallary somewhere and the like.

Now I'm just saying how it looks tom me, but I admit it's likely due to your particular stylistic way of drawing which works for you, which means you can read it any way you want. It's just how I see it from my way of doing things, which ain't everyone's cup of tea either.

Why is he holding the sword point down?

sort of in between shifting the weapon. Its a effort not to make it look posed.

Looks sort of like he might have just pulled it out of one DB and is looking at the next potential DB.

Some people believe that samuri used to hold swords upside down. I've heard various reasons for this, but none made sence to me beyond "Sephorph does it so it's cool!" type arguments. I don't have that kind of knowlage, but it's just something that pops up occationally.

If it was upward i get the feeling the picture would become same old....

I know. :) It was just for if he/she saw more of this else where. I think the force unleashed does this, as does pretty much every final fantasy fan character.

I studied Bernie Wrightson and when you do something its good to have a theory behind it. try to have big black areas and big white areas for power.

Especially the shadow on the leg armour cast by the shild looks pretty good and accurate. i also love the shadings on the breastplates, it looks so nice and shiny. Keep up the good work!
