I wrote this months ago and for whatever reason never posted it.

One of my greatest interests all my life has been myths and legends so ancient that there are no longer any stories told of them anywhere. Stories that have been forgotten by all.

Anubis is so old that the story of his true birth is one of those stories. I know there is one in which he is connected to Isis and Osiris... but that was just one of his many rebirths. This story is about his first birth somewhere deep within the Sahara when it was still lush and green. In a time when he was just a little jackal spirit being worshiped by a single tribe of humans.

This is also a prequel to my other writing called The Journey of Hope.
