An old and overly obscure pencil sketch of a samurai changing himself.
This picture violates "draw what you know", and the following will violate "show, don't tell." Basically, the hakama (the traditional samurai pants) had two sets of belts. This could function as a drop seat, with the back lowering as shown. If the wakizashi (the shorter samurai sword) were tucked into the inner belt, a samurai would be able to fight somewhat, even if caught "with his pants down."
The traditional diaper cover (although possibly from a different period) had pairs of ties on each side. The traditional diaper was a cloth ring. In hindsight, the one shown in the hare's mouth is probably too short. The diaper was tied on, instead of being pinned.
Or I could be wrong. While I can tell as Tsuba from a Tsuka, I can't tell an oshime from an omitsu. It would be great if someone could enlighten me.
