Looking for a way to bring the floating island down? Well, from the knowledge that I have on floating islands, you'll have to destroy the source of it's gravity defying powers, but do take care about the people underneath... otherwise, we'll have another case of "Age of Ultron" on our hands.
You presume that people would want to live under that. It makes one heck of a shadow that doesn't go away - unless, of course, it drifts around the world, in which case it would be but a matter of the right timing. Sink it into the ocean!
