I hope you like it.
Through my life I see people pass by,
I don’t know them but I know they all lie.
I can never trust another being,
I try to look at the affection in the world but it’s not love that I’m seeing.
I thought trust was something you earned,
but now it’s shattered, distraught and unlearned.
I give my trust to many but they all throw it away,
But I give you my heart and you never walk away.
I fight for my life and I fight for what’s right,
But all the admiration, devotion and esteem are torn from my sight.
You look beyond the grime and into my soul,
You don’t see me as a million shattered pieces, but one exact whole
You see me as me and not for what I can be,
You see me as me, someone caring and free.
You help me with my problems and untie the chains,
You love me for what I am and soothe my aching pains.
You are more then a friend you are family,
And when I see you I’ll hug you lovingly.
When the world crumbles around us I’ll hold you for as long as I can,
Even if it means we both turn to sand.
When I was hated you stood by my side,
You didn’t give up, cower or hide.
I have seen what many have missed,
A mind and soul I can not resist.
I have witnessed what many have not seen,
A body and mind so caring and serene.
If our world is engulfed in flames and our god does not care,
It doesn’t matter to me because for you, I’ll be there
Through my life I see people pass by,
I don’t know them but I know they all lie.
