Seems I was showing a bit too much buttock in the first post. so here is a different angle. Once again this was a tribute to the macabre equine artwork I enjoy by 
ecmajor, 
Hoofer and 
Lightstep.
The foal skull has a .22 cal. hole in it's forehead rests on my chest over the peaceful calm of this Horsie who upon the bed of 1081 nails shares the release from suffering with it's spirit.
It was an experience unlike any and affirmed my zen or calming approach to most things in life, boosted my confidence, self control and proved to me healing comes in many forms. Understood the physics and yada-yada but to practice it like the swami or guru is something I look forward to participating in again.
Next year plan a more macabre (mature) look with strong furry theme and a longer time spent in another endorphin enriched state of mind upon this very interesting apparatus.

I felt bad about the foal too, our winters are harsh, snow foals and mares have to be pretty tough. We try to keep watch for them so can help but not always the case.

I'm putting the border on it this week between chores (shit loads to finalize before it gets any colder), will send it before the end of the month and with good fortune try to get it to you via airmail or other speedy delivery system. Wanted to bring it to you in person but that's okay I wouldn't want to take away from the moment, save that for another time...^^

Atomicat wore his jeans so he wouldn't poke his lower back and could set in place better. you could even wear full clothing to reduce discomfort with increased bed time or make a larger bed (longer) to support the entire body thus very effectively evening out the weight distribution for maximum comfort.

As much as I would love to come alas I am unable to this time round. Lots of pre-winter stuff to do and of course until the final payout is released I'm a little on the broke side. Don't have time and thanx to the delay in my funds can't even get into town for an all expense paid, overnight trip to Minneapolis Wednesday. *Whine* All plans have been put in a holding pattern. Gov. offices are swamped and told me I have no choice but to wait it out. Grrr... {:^P
I have wanted to try the bed of nails and other such fun things but i have no idea if someone of my weight would be able to do such a thing without becoming just an apple on a nail... Also since i am oft in pain i am wondering if the mechanisms in the body would even respond properly
Well I'll have to educate you and discuss your pain points to have an idea of what you can expect should you have an opportunity to try it. (I've got physical issuesd too and it was more relaxing than I could have expected. If it were not for a lack of something to hold my feet level with the rest of my bodyt I may have been able to stay there for quite a long time.
Too bad it was brought in by a guest for that event only, he did tell me it took he and his father (an engineer) a very long time to make it so making one of our own might be totally out of the question. WOuld consider having one made if it`s not going to cost an arm and a leg but then again one of those things if you have to ask it`s probably out of our reach $$ wise.
