Slightly larger than earth with 1.2g gravity, its orbit lasts 520 earth days, and its days last 42 hours.
With an average temperature of -98C and a atmospheric pressure of 6.3atm, it is one of the more hostile planets in the system.
The thick haze that covers the surface is mostly made of water and carbon dioxide clouds, however there is oxygen at the surface layers. Around the poles where the temperatures can reach extremes of -200C, oxygen will precipitate out of the air, leaving it mostly inhospitable except to organisms who can breathe the liquid oxygen. This oxygen rain occurs each winter when the temperatures dip low enough, so it the summer months it is possible to explore the poles. Most infrastructure is located near the equator where temperatures range from -70C to -30C.
Though the magnetosphere is not nearly as strong as that of Ber, it is still enough to occasionally have planet-wide aurora. Since the haze blocks them out however, from the surface it appears that the clouds glow a ghostly green and purple at night.
There are many different silicon based lifeforms across the planet surface who are perfectly at home in the freezing temperatures, however carbon based lifeforms have developed completely independently in the warmer subsurface ocean. Some of each have adapted in similar ways to earth life, and others have adapted in completely alien ways. Amber may need to get a silicon suit and fur coat to be able to brave the harsh cold.
