Hehe, yeah, I thought it looked familiar :)
The trick with hair shading is that hair isn't just one solid object that you put highlights on one edge of and shadows on the other.
It's made of individual strands which can each be lit or shadowed individually.
My way of achieving that look is to just draw lots of lines of lighter and darker shades and then add the over-all shading on top of that.
