Not my creation, credit goes to "Jey" who does not have an art account I'm aware of but can be found on discord: Jey#5688 (Artwork and his username posted with his permission)
So, this is a pretty important bit of artwork to me. If you end up around me for any length of time, you'll pretty quickly realize that I personally utilize star and light themes and motifs a LOT. Stars have always been important to me from when I was very young; I could spend hours looking up at them through a telescope and simply observing astronomical phenomena. The Star Tarot card is also one I try to represent in my life, it is by far the card I most associate with myself. Light itself is also something I try to embody. From looking within and without for enlightenment, to being a beacon of hope for people, to being a comforting glow helping a friend keep the darkness of depression away. Stars and light are a part of me, one way or another.
This serves as an interesting companion piece to an earlier artwork: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/13531070/
In that earlier one, I look younger, and entranced by the light made; it's clear that I am focusing on keeping it stable.
In this newer one, I look aged, but the light takes on a vastly more complex and 'fuller' form, from the stardust-like flecks outside of my wings, to the flare upon my shoulders and the bright streak ending upon my paw. And it all looks comparatively effortless, as though I have mastered it. And of course, the essence-crown above my head has taken on a brilliant, constellation-like appearance.
