Not sure if anyone is interested in seeing the rabbit and wolf reference models that I developed over a hundred dog-years ago, but here they are. If there is interest, I can generate antialiased scans.

Tehe. Thanks. The facial and ear markings were for a Scottish mountain hare, at least. At the time, I was using chisel-tipped markers for inking. This is why Sean was only drawn in the black-and-white winter coat, instead of sometimes in his summer coat. Now that inking and coloring are more sophisticated, the tradition continues. (That, or it makes things easier for the viewer to not have to recognize a character's changing spots. ) Chewing their cud is another one of those technically correct items often anthropomorphised away. A non-anthro bunny would interpret the "if it's not Scottish..." joke differently.
Very true, and my Lapine isn't good enough to remember how to say the more common joking saying. something like "Hoi hoi, U embleer Hrair, M'aision (something) hraka vair" (Hoi hoi, the stinking Thousand (enemies of rabbits), we meet them even when we stop to pass our droppings)
Please don't ask me to pronounce it in the Lapine, the pronunciation guide is a lot different than English and is based on non-American English :) Still, a most fascinating site.
Oh yes, chewing pellets, or...uhh...I can't remember the techie term for that either. But Im just a baby rabbit so that's OK.
