XD. Mine is pale..if you look through my gallery, probably in scraps..there's two pics of her. She's really pale..heck, you can even see her heart beating if you hold her against some light # think she lost alot of weight since she refused to eat since hatching..
Oh she doesn't look too bad! The neonates are naturally EXTREMELY slim-looking. She should beef up after a year or so C: She's suuuuuper pretty <3
And don't worry too much about her not eating. How long had it been, not counting the force-feeding? A lot of times, the snake won't eat until a couple weeks after its first shed. It took my Kenyan sand boa 6 months to start eating.

She has a large small bowl of water and her cage is moist. She is also drinking fine. And I have tried live pinkines, f/t pinkies..heck, I even tried a tadpole and a frog once (suggestion of the breeder), and even a tiny gecko/lizard. She ignored everything I did. That's why I went with a force-feed last night using something called a/d.
I should get some of that. Shredded pine is fine enough, but I'm not liking the smell it gives off when wet - too cloying and heavy in an aquarium, I feel sad for my girl stuck in there when I give the place a misting.
I do know that pythons don't seem to like moss that much though - I put some in the warm hide on Sausage's last shed, and within a few minutes of discovering it she was wriggling around the whole cage. Since her heat pits are low on her jaw, I'm thinking the stuff tickles her. :B

Personally I'm a fan of the plain-and-simple reptile carpet. ESPECIALLY with snake poopy, it's super easy to clean. Though I do have my sand boa on shavings so she can burrow like the crazy thing she is. :P But yeah, I'm really liking this substrate, too.
I've never really known any of my pythons/boas to use a moist hide. They're weirdos :P
