Princess Celestia's coat color and ever-flowing, pastel-striped mane and tail make her perfect for such an adorable picture, Sweetie. Having her lying down and padded while resting upon a bed just makes the viewer of the scene want to run towards her and await her front hoof to welcome them into a warm, cuddly hug that would make both fall to sleep.

Now I have to ask if Princess Celestia would take 'Poofy Butt', or 'Diaper Butt' as a nickname over being called 'Sun Butt'.

Given how long Princess Celestia has been alive, along with how 1,000 years of this time has been spent knowing she banished her sister to the moon, I wonder if placing herself into such a vulnerable position, as seen in this picture, could be a way for her to relax when her mind is struggling to handle all she is responsible for.

Maybe we can make Spike the viewer of Princess Celestia in such a compromising position? We do not know how old Cadence was when Celestia adopted her. The book 'Twilight Sparkle & The Crystal Heart Spell[ is the closest we get to knowing when Celestia and cadence came together. However, if this book remains canon, Cadence has long been out of diapers.

Then again, as another thought, maybe Princess Celestia confided in Cadence about her need to relax? Knowing her sister would soon return from the moon would definitely make her uneasy. You can then take into account how stress, anxiety, and depression can cause you to lose some control over your bladder. As Celestia would not tell any pony of her worries regarding her sister's return, this stress would only continue to trouble her and she would need to decide if making a mess on the throne is more embarrassing than wearing a diaper upon the throne?

Cadence, with her love-based magic, could help Celestia in, what would be Cadence's belief, Celestia becomming slightly incontinent. Cadence could even have created this whole scene to help her Aunt to feel more comfortable in making the more hygienic choice to handle her weakened bladder.

If the Cadence getting Celestia into crinkles is believable, I would go on to share that this is what got her to be a babysitter / foal sitter despite such a job being not one typically associated to a princess. Cadence's love and care to Auntie Celestia would make her feel motherly. What better way to explore your love of taking care of others than to act as a foal sitter / babysitter?

One of her first jobs would be with Twilight, which would be a result of a young Shining Armor being considered for being a royal guard upon reviewing his test results in Magic Kindergarten. Shining would say how much he would want to take part in the after school activities that would help him decide if he really wanted to be a royal guard. Unfortunately he is already obligated to be home to watch his baby sister, Twilight.

Cadence, having some 'puppy love' for a pre-teen Shining would offer to watch Twilight while he was doing his after school activities.

Seeing how strong her maternal / motherly skills are, cadence comes to further embrace her gift as one that would result in her becomming Princess of The Crystal Empire.

What you described first of the cute Celestia in a perfect position to receive hugs is completely true. The backstory you made around this drawing also has a lot of sense. I have indeed read a bunch of nice stories about how Celestia became a little bit bet wetter due to the stress and guilty. I like pretty much how you make the whole situation look really comfortable and nice. Thanks for sharing it. Everything was really cute and adorable n.n

It felt really good to allow my imagination to visualize what you drew. I then just saw so many things happening that could make this captured moment all the cuter.

Originally, I thought cuddling with baby Spike would have been all that would be needed to make it extra adorable. I then thought on Princess Cadence and how we never did find out how she became a foal sitter after becomming an Alicorn. Once this idea came to my mind, I just got so deeply into the picture and how I could bring Cadence into it.

Maybe, from time-to-time, Cadence still may do some foal sitting for Princess Celestia. Cadence's magic is good at making ponies happy and relaxed. With Flurry Heart, the 'play dates' could be all the better with Flurry having a padded princess playmate.
