The Lightning Wyvern is the larger relative to the diminutive Lesser Lightning Wyvern. It can be found in the more arid regions of the Arcadian Continent where it preys on small to medium-sized animals such as gazelles and dryus.

This member of the "Beaked Wyvern" genus uses the long, saber-like horn on its head to deliver devastating electrical attacks with which it kills its prey. The quills covering its back also channel electricity giving it protection from potential attacks from above. Meanwhile, the spikes on the tail can be fired at opponents in order to deliver piercing damage. As they are fired, the wyvern also charges them with electricity, which ideally causes the attacker to get paralyzed, thus giving a few more seconds to escape or to counterattack.

Despite its fierce appearance, the Lightning Wyvern is rather skittish and if placed in a conflict situation, it will choose to fly away more often than not, unless it's given no other choice but to fight.
