another concept sketch, this one of "Trinity" and yes, that is actually the character's name this time, not just a codename. His only other "name" is RXX-0042 or just R-42.
He's also probably my most significantly downgraded character in the series. When I initially created him (as "Sefra" *coughcough*) he was pretty much God-Class. But I can't have him overshadowing the top tier characters by that much, so major overhauling was needed to tone down his power level. He's still essentially the same character he used to be, only now he's a lot younger, his abilities are somewhat restrained by certain points of odd logic, and he has no spiritual/ki/whatever powers(so no throwing energy blasts or emitting a battle aura or flying or any of that other crazy supernatural DBZ shit).
He's still pretty badass even after the downgrade though... His story is that he was part of a government program to genetically engineer super soldiers (from birth), essentially ripping off the plot of Dark Angel. I've adjusted that a bit lately to make it a project actually started and funded by one of the Syndicate (bad guy) groups in the series (hence making it more ahh... Gungrave? then Dark Angel, but the same principles apply), but otherwise the outcome is the same. So Trinity is basically meant to represent a Human at peak physical and mental condition. Though given the nature of his training, that peak "mental" condition is questionable.
The story goes that the scientists were trying to determine what form of training was the most efficient, so that they could streamline the process in future generations. So they essentially set up a Battle Royal scenario and let their experiments duke it out for supremacy. In the end, there were three... They fought each other and only one remained standing. But the scientists were never able to figure out which one. After the incident, Trinity, as he would come to be called, displayed the skills and efficiencies of all three of the top tier competitors...
I'm not gonna go into full details or even try to explain the logic of my particular brand of crazy, but the bottom line is that Trinity has a split personality. Each persona is skilled in a different form of combat, Martial Arts, Firearms, and Swordplay. When the Sword Master is in control, he's lethal with a blade, but can't aim a gun to save his life and only knows the most basic of combat skills. Similar functions apply to the other two personalities. His "normal" state is the Martial Artist form. The changes generally only come in combat scenarios and even then they're pretty random. He can't actually will a change, they're simply triggered by stimuli in the environment.
He doesn't have much of a social personality though, due to his upbringing, so he's pretty damned awkward to be around and is often seen in unusual positions. Daniel is generally reluctant to bring him on missions due to his age, but he can't deny the boy's skills... so he's a reoccurring character obviously, but he won't appear in every mission. Similarly, at two points in the series, he'll be seriously injured after pushing himself to his limits and out of commission for several episodes.
I'm still working out his hairstyle... but it's gonna be pretty simple, as seen. It is white though.
