Idea I thought about when thinking o these two pretty randomly. The thought of Grace and Rei continuously competing to be the best led them to be rivals in the long time run. When challenged both usually have their own ways of performing. Grace's case, she likes to do things legit. Grace in this case prefers that she challenges Rei while grounded and she prefers not to use her wings. Although, Rei does seem to tempt her.

Their mentors seem to also be interested in their various competitions so they provide support in many ways as possible.
