There are hazards to having a giant roach sidekick.
Yest another comic where I liked the idea, but had trouble with the execution.
pedrolerenard lives within a few blocks of me, so it's rather easy to forcibly invite him over to look at snails, birds, and other things of interest only to myself.
If it looks like I keep changing color from panel to panel, it's because I am. I'm still using my comics to experiment with color, trying to match the shade of my fursona that's in my mind.
On cardstock, with micron, pencil, & marker

oooh <3 I love snails.
I had a dream as a teenager about having a pet snail ("snaily" lol) who had lost it's shell, and the whole "task" of the dream was an adventure to find her shell/house. It was awesome and since then I want sails for a pet.
Thinking of it, I can just go to petsmart, drop of a buck and get a mystery snail for my freshwater tank.. IF i only had a top for it GRR (I'm glad my danios don't jump out)

When I lived close to my parents, I would get all the small water snails I wanted from their pond. I'd leave them in tap water for a couple hours to kill off any parasites, then into the tank they'd go.
One of them got pretty big for its species, then for some odd reason discarded its snail. It streaked about the tank for about 3 days, seemingly happy & healthy -- until the fish discovered that although it was big, it had no shell & could therefor be chomped on. Poor thing. Maybe it was just old & tired of living, & this was its way of committing suicide.
Snails are fun.

Oh heh, no, not quite that far. Anything that seemed to have caught his interested/eyes, he usually just picked up and took home with him.
I remember throwing something out into our kitchen garbage. A little pale like thing that sat next to the counter. A little later that day, I found he had placed it into the fridge where it ended up just rotting anyways. :\
