I love the Reiko's coloring. I was so happy that I had 2 markers that were close to it the shades needed. And I think the yellow-ocre shade goes so well with the 80's popular teal & pink.
I had so much FUN with this badge!
Reiko wanted an 80's theme, suggested My Little Pony, and let me run rampant with the rest.
Teal linen blazer rolled up at the sleeves a-la Miami Vice with a pink henley underneath? GOT!
Shoulder pads? GOT!
Off-white pleated pants? GOT!
Big button earrings, Swatch Watch with Swatch Guard, big chunky bracelet, splatter-line designs? GOT Got-itty GOT!!
I almost gave her one of those big asymmetrical sunglasses, but that would have covered her eyes plus some of her face & hair, & I didn't want to do that.
The splatter design is taken from one of my favorite tops that I wore back then.
For the curious-- I did have a linen blazer with shoulder pads (mine was tomato red), but I bucked fashion & wore a blouse underneath instead of a trendy henley. I had a couple big chunky bracelets, which I hardly wore because I can't stand having anything around my wrists, and eventually broke from messing with them while they were on my wrists. No big button earrings, but I had a big chunky necklace with the splatter-line design. No Swatch-watch.
on good art paper (I loved using that, too), with micron, pencil, & mostly marker
