Journal of an unnamed hunter

I don't really know what I saw in that god forsaken bayou today, but I know for a fact that whatever I did see wasn't Human... or anything else I've seen in my time as a Hunter. I stalked the swamp as usual, keeping my eyes and wits about me because of the other greedy hunters and monsters, and found myself in a rather dense forested part of the swamp.
Not very familiar with this area I kept my composure more safe than usual least I be ambushed by something unknown from the dark curtains. I'm not sure what alerted me to something different first, the strange white figure in a black dress leaning against one of the trees or the echoing, haunting humming coming from the same figure, a tune that made my breath catch in my throat and the blood in my body freeze over. I hid behind a tree and observed the figure quietly, afraid to really get any closer to them. I wasn't sure if it was due to the look of the figure, from where I hid it looked like the figure was some kind of fox or canine species, the haunting song that came from their muzzle, or a deep feeling in my gut that I seemed to find familiar, the feeling of the icy hands of death hovering mere inches from my throat, ready to strangle and steal my soul. I could feel my knuckles turning white with my iron grip on my rifle, I could feel my heart in my throat whilst a debate raged in my mind. Do I go after the figure or should I run to go after the Bounty, take a different path?
My answer seemed to come in the form of another group of Hunters approaching the fox from the other side of the forest. One look at the figure and the group of three opened fire upon her, assuming based on the dress. I saw many shots hit the body of the figure, tearing holes in the dress and spurting blood from a few of the wounds but she didn't flinch or react like most people. Instead she calmly stood and turned her attention to the group, the hunters reloading their weapons as an eerie wind began to blow with an icy message hidden beneath it.
I watched as the fox woman walked slowly towards the group as they continued to fire upon her, backing up with what looked like terror in their eyes. I'd be scared too if I found myself wasting my ammo on something as freaky as what that woman was.
A gruff looking man pulled out a hatchet and charged the white figure with a defiant scream which would turn out to be the worst mistake he's made, worst than going after an Assassin unprepared. Before he could even bring his arm down his head was separated from his body and splashed into the dirty green water, his body following it.
That's when everything went crazy. I saw the other two hunters turning to run but one was cut in half by her waist while the other was shoved into a tree and cut from shoulder to waist. I could only watch with absolute terror as the fox held a cold scythe, freshly stained with blood, and turn their head my way. I froze as I felt my soul stared at by this figure before she turned and walked off.
Now I've seen many horrors and supernatural ways for a human to die. Blown up by a stick of dynamite, poisoned by the Spider, swarmed by a bunch of bees, burned by an Immolator, even devoured by a Water Devil. But I have never seen someone have their life taken by something like that....creature which scared me. I did something I thought I would never do in my career, I cut my losses and ran with my tail between my legs. I am never going to that forested part of that swamp ever again and if I do, if I see that fox I'd take my own life than fight it. Call me a coward or whatever you wish but I know when to pick my battles and live to fight another day.
Well I love this piece, a piece of my ever beautiful fox reaper Maria in the swamps of Louisiana of Hunt Showdown and I enjoyed writing a journal like I did even if it's not as good as the entries in the official Book of Monsters entries of the game but I love it either way.
