“Ahhhh!~” Maru exclaims, releasing a deep breath of outside air. “You know, I never would have thought I’d like your plane this much.”
Luminia laughs as Maru stretches out her arms towards the sky and does the same. “I’m glad it suits you, I’m sure you didn’t expect to love being padded all the time either.” Lu remarks, playfully patting Maru’s rear. Her butt gives some confirming crinkles, and Maru whips around to blush at her.
“It’s a strategic advantage, okay!?” Maru shouts, red finding its place on her round orange cheeks. “If this dungeon is really as daring as you say, we can’t waste time worrying about bathroom breaks.” Turning away to pout, she notices a large ornate cave entrance in the distance.
Luminia catches up to her, placing a sweet peck on her cheek. “Of course hun, it’s a great idea. You just let me know if my little fighter needs a change, okay?” She says, tracing Maru’s burning cheek with her finger.
“As for now; there it is!” Luminia exclaims, dancing off towards the entrance.
Approaching the dungeon, the two stop at the dark hole in the wall. The cave itself a mess of dark grey stone peering through peepholes in the lush moss and vines. Lining the jagged stone were veins of ore spread outward from the center, leaving silver and copper arrows pointing inward to the maw of the hillside. Glistening beside them, the copper lanterns littering the wall haphazardly hung uselessly. Lights burnt out long ago. The finishing touch was a sign in the front showing a poorly drawn skull, beaten and weathered.
“Wow they really don’t try that hard to hide these things huh?” Maru says, jabbing Luminia playfully with her elbow.
“Well, others can be more secretive…” Lu states, recalling her past adventures. “But the challenge isn’t in finding them…” she says walking closer to the hole. “It’s about surviving the adventures inside!” tempting Maru as she throws out her hands to display the cave before her.
“Fair enough.” Maru shrugs. “I guess we’ll just have to see if this cave is all it’s talked up to be.” Words followed by the cracking of her knuckles.
“Remember Maru, the most important thing about a dungeon is how you traverse it! You have to be cautious, always aware, and ready for anything.” Luminia warns eerily, a single finger out to accentuate her point.
“Yeah I guess that makes sense.” Maru’s voice echoes, already having marched halfway into the cave. Lu quickly bounds after her, catching up quickly.
“I’m sure I’ll be fine if I just stick with the pro.” She teases Luminia sweetly.
“I hope you don’t intend to flatter your way through the dungeon…” Lu says; returning fire.
“No way.” The little devil retorts whilst brandishing her flexing arm. “I’m gonna punch my way through”
“Oh dear…” Luminia chuckles, the two now laughing onwards into the darkness ahead.
“What am I gonna do with you?...”
