The first thing Rhae did after recovering from the Occasus attack on her pack was genetically and cybnetically alter herself to be resilient against incendiary weaponry. When she discovered a flamethrower in the wreck of an abandoned ship, she took it as a sign: Time to stop running, and start fighting back.

It didn't take long to locate an Occasus vessel orbiting a nearby planet, or to maneuver her ship into boarding range. The Occasus cultists expected pirates or looters, they did not expect a tiny feathery ball of power-armored vengeance wielding a flamethrower.
